We first met the wonderful Citizens of Brookwood Community one year ago. I knew very little about Brookwood Community even though they were in our area for so many years and have done so much incredible work. This coming September they will be raising money and participating in the annual “Bike to the Beach” event with a goal of raising $50,000. We would like to help make that happen by having a Kick Off Party Saturday June 15 from 4:00 to 10:00. Cane Island in Katy was gracious enough to open up their neighborhood event center for all of us. Cory Redding and Fermin Carrasco of Redding Construction & Management are cooking all of the BBQ and Helen and Scott Kutach of FASTSIGNS-Houston Galleria Area are donating all of the signs. Since announcing the event yesterday, we’ve had numerous clients like Tap Truck Houston and AmericaStar Entertainment offer their support.
We will be selling BBQ plates for $10 and have packages for food & drinks along with a silent auction so donations are encouraged. We are offering 10X12 spaces for business owners to market their services for $175 and need Title Sponsors for $1000. There is a lot of room in between for anyone to get involved and help out that day. We are highlighting all that Brookwood Community does and has done for so many people decade after decade. We are excited to help introduce Brookwood Community to our community and hope to see everybody there.
